How Mercari charges sellers
Listing is free. When an item sells, Mercari takes a 10% selling fee on the item price plus any shipping the buyer pays. There is no separate payment processing fee.
A $50.00 sale with free shipping costs $5.00, so you keep $45.00. If the buyer also pays $8.00 for shipping, the fee is on $58.00: $5.80 in fees, and you receive $52.20 to cover the label.
What does the buyer pay?
Buyers pay a separate 3.6% Buyer Protection fee on the item price and shipping. It does not come out of your payout.
