eBay fees for books, movies and music
The final value fee for this category, with and without a Store, and what you keep on common prices.
Rates checked against the platform's fee page on November 4, 2026 (eBay selling fees and Store fees).
The rates
On top of the final value fee, eBay adds $0.40 per order ($0.30 when the sale total is $10.00 or less). The fee is worked out on the whole sale total: item, shipping and sales tax.
| Seller | Final value fee |
|---|---|
| No Store, or Starter Store | 15.3% up to $7,500.00, 2.35% above $7,500.00 |
| Basic Store or higher | 15.3% up to $2,500.00, 2.35% above $2,500.00 |
What you keep
Sale totals with free shipping and no sales tax, no ads and a seller in good standing. Your item cost and shipping label come off after this.

Good to know
- Books and magazines, movies and TV, and music (not vinyl records) pay the highest standard rate on eBay, 15.3%.
- A Store does not lower the 15.3%. It only starts the 2.35% rate sooner, at $2,500 instead of $7,500.
- Vinyl records are not in this group. They pay the Most categories rate.
