The rates
On top of the final value fee, eBay adds $0.40 per order ($0.30 when the sale total is $10.00 or less). The fee is worked out on the whole sale total: item, shipping and sales tax.

Good to know
- Handbags pay one rate on the whole sale, not a rate on each slice. Crossing $2,000 lowers the rate on the entire amount.
- So a bag with a $2,001 sale total can cost less in fees than one at $1,999. The sale total includes shipping and sales tax, so check it before you set the price.
